16 teams in the 12th edition of the Mansour Bin Zayed Football Cup
Abu Dhabi, February 19/ WAM/ Today, Wednesday, the 12th edition of the Mansour bin Zayed Cup Football Cup 2025, which will start on the first days of the blessed month of Ramadan with the participation of 16 teams, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State The Prime Minister and the head of the Presidency Bureau, and organized by the Presidency Bureau.
The draw resulted in the presence of the Emirates National Schools teams, the private marine center, the archive and the National Library, and the National Center for Course in the first group.
The second group included both the Al -Amin office teams, the Special Affairs Office, the Office of Scholarships, the Development Affairs Office and the families of the martyrs.
In the third group, the Judicial Department teams, the Emirates Center for Studies and Research, the Institutional Audit and Development Office, and the Financial Affairs and Procurement Sector were present.
The fourth included teams of the Legal Affairs Office, the Citizen and Society Affairs Office, the support services sector, and the engineering and technical projects sector.
The organizing committee of the championship announced the details of edition 12 during the press conference held today at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the capital Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Khaled Mohamed Al -Suwaidi, representative of the Presidential Court, Majid Salem Al -Khalasi, member of the technical committee of the championship, and Nasser Al Dhaheri, representative of Royal Jet, and Souad Al Marzouqi, a representative of Mercury Travel and Tourism, and Issa Al Muhairi, representative of the Emirates Palace Hotel Mandarin Oriental.
It was announced that a match was organized on the sidelines of the official opening ceremony of the tournament between the stars of the Emirates national team, “Gulf Champions”, led by Ismail Matar and the “Gulf 21” heroes led by Omar Abdel Rahman, on Monday, March 3, at the Emirates Palace Hotel Mandarin Oriental, which will host competitions The tournament.
The 12th edition is witnessing organizations accompanying all groups of society to enjoy the Ramadan atmosphere, including the “Van Zone” region organized by the committee in cooperation with the UAE Professional Association, while monitoring prizes for the public and many surprises to give a cheerful social atmosphere for all attendees of all ages.
The Organizing Committee monitored awards for the owners of the first three places, in addition to prizes for each of the best player, goalkeeper, administrative, and the goals of the championship as well.
Khaled Muhammad Al -Suwaidi said: “We are proud to reach the 12th edition of the championship, which witnessed successive successes over the past version to the current version.”
He added: “The current version is witnessing the obligation to score at least 3 Emirati players in support of the championship, pointing out that the show match announced will give a different character of competitions in light of the public presence that was focused on during the current version.”
Majid Salem Al -Salvi stressed that the tournament is developing greatly from one copy to another, and it has become competing with the most powerful local Ramadan championships, as the committee always works to develop the technical level.
He pointed out that the tournament is witnessing the attraction of more professional players from outside the country, which supports our players.
On the refereeing teams, the former referee Abdullah Naji confirmed that there are international referees from the Emirates from the candidates to manage matches in the World Cup, who will participate in the management of many championship matches, in order to enrich the competitions, in addition to the judges of stadiums from outside the Emirates.
