“Dubai Roads” inaugurates the smart evaluation system for bicycle paths and electric shocks

In Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai launched a pioneering step in the world, the smart evaluation system for bicycle paths and electric silences and their origins, using the latest smart and advanced technologies. This initiative comes within the framework of the authority’s endeavor to employ advanced innovation and technology to analyze the road network and achieve the highest levels of efficiency in maintenance, which contributes to promoting traffic safety, improving the experience of elastic means of transportation, and supporting Dubai 2030 vision for sustainable mobility.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the Roads and Transport Authority to its strategies to enhance sustainability and innovation in the road network, and improve the quality of life in the city, by developing infrastructure and achieving operational and environmental efficiency. It also contributes to keeping pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution through the application of digital technology to creating a digital version of the paths, which enables rationalization of spending and achieving higher efficiency in maintenance work.

The Authority emphasized that the smart evaluation of bicycle paths and electrical silence comes within its continuous efforts to achieve continuous development in services, and to provide sustainable infrastructure that supports the transformation towards environmentally friendly transportation. This initiative also contributes to providing safer and efficient paths, which encourages the adoption of sustainable transportation and enhances Dubai’s position as a bicycle friendly city, and a world leader in the smart and sustainable transport sector.

The smart evaluation system for bicycle paths and electric shots depends on modern systems, cameras and advanced sensors installed on an electric bike, allowing the analysis of the path of tracks and evaluating their performance accurately without affecting the movement of its users. This advanced system provides rapid and comprehensive monitoring, achieving the highest safety and comfort standards for sustainable transportation users.

The Authority emphasized that the new system provides a pre -emptive evaluation of the state of paths, and the application of predictive and sustainable maintenance, which enhances the efficiency of resource management and achieving financial and environmental sustainability by reducing operational costs and emergency maintenance, and the system also relies on new global indicators, including: an indicator of the quality of paving status of paths, And the indicator of the condition of the assets of the paths, and the driving index, compared to the traditional style Which includes only the paving of paths of paths of paths.

The Roads and Communications Authority has made a qualitative leap in the speed of monitoring tracks, as the new system can monitor 120 km of cycling tracks in just 4 hours, compared to the traditional inspection system, which is estimated at 2.25 km per day, which means 98%faster monitoring. The smart system also can conduct a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of damage to the paths and their assets with a length of 557 km of tracks within a month, i.e. at a speed of the traditional methods by 92%, and this contributes to the speed of decision -making and optimal strategic planning for preventive maintenance and asset management.
