Abdullah bin Zayed discusses with the Deputy Prime Minister and New Zealand Foreign Minister to enhance cooperation and partnership
Abu Dhabi, February 21 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received today in Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Winston Peters, Deputy Prime Minister and New Zealand Foreign Minister, on the sidelines of the International Defense Exhibition “IDEX 2025” and the Marine Defense Exhibition “Navdex 2025”.
His Highness welcomed Winston Peters, and discussed strengthening cooperation relations between the two countries in all fields.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed during the meeting the depth of relations between the UAE and New Zealand, which is based on a solid base of confidence, mutual respect and common interests, pointing to the keenness to develop bilateral cooperation in various vital fields in order to support the vision of the two countries to achieve comprehensive development and sustainable economic prosperity.
His Highness and Winston also discussed the total developments in the region at the regional and international levels and exchanged views on them.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Balla, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability, and His Excellency Rashid Matar Al -Qamzi, the country’s ambassador to New Zealand.
After the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and His Excellency Winston Peters, Deputy Prime Minister and New Zealand Foreign Minister signed the arrangement memorandum on research cooperation in the Antarctic Antarctica between the International Affairs Office at the UAE Presidential Court and the New Zealand Institute of Lancettika in New Zealand.
The memorandum was signed by the UAE, His Excellency Abdullah Balala, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability, and on the part of New Zealand, His Excellency Paula Wilson, Deputy Foreign Minister of the European, Middle East, African, and Australia Group.
