The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing presented the municipal requirements for veterinary care, through a “poll” platform with the aim of developing and improving the business environment in a way that achieves the general ambitions and goals of the individual and society together, and to help those wishing to invest in this field, and raise the criterion of compliance to address the manifestations of visual distortion, and contribute to reducing the transmission of diseases Which may pose a threat to public health.
The new requirements include specific architectural requirements for veterinary care facilities, where an equipped reception area must be provided, and it also allows the presence of toilets, hand clusters, and chapels, to ensure an integrated work environment.
The regulations allowed the use of the role of mezzanine, provided that it does not exceed a third of the floor area in which it is located, with the possibility of increasing it to half of the area in the event of an automatic firefighting system and approved audio alarm, in order to ensure the achievement of safety standards.

Obtaining the license

The Ministry has identified controls for providing low -risk materials storage warehouses associated with veterinary activity, so that the warehouse area does not exceed 25% of the total area or 150 square meters, whichever is less, with the possibility of increasing the warehouse area of ​​up to 50% of the total area, provided that the warehouse activity is added to the license.
The Ministry stressed the need to obtain the municipal license before the start of the operation, while adhering to all the operational requirements approved by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
She stressed not to practice any unlicensed activity, and prevented the exploitation of public sidewalks or spaces outside the borders of the facility to practice the activity.
The Ministry emphasized the installation of security cameras, and the provision of the first aid fund and electronic payment means.
The requirements included strict controls regarding the violating facilities, as it is forbidden to reopen the facility in the event of its closure by the competent authorities, except after addressing the violation and obtaining the approval of the municipality, and it is also prohibited to remove or cover the closure posters issued by the official authorities.

Periodic maintenance

The requirements were obligated by all veterinary facilities with periodic maintenance of all construction elements and equipment, including maintenance of commercial paintings and keeping them free of cracks and fractures, maintenance of facades, walls and floors and ensuring that they are free of unauthorized defects or stickers.
It was obligated to the licensee to update the air conditioning and lighting devices periodically, ensuring that there are no leaks or broken lamps, and maintaining sewage and electrical wire extensions, with the need to cover them safely.
The Ministry stressed the procedures for hygiene and safety, which include providing waste vessels that do not open by hand, such as automatic or open vessels that open with the foot, and empty waste periodically to ensure that they do not accumulate or overcome the capacity of the container, clean the floors, walls and external facades regularly, and ensure that they are free of dust And spots.
