Sharjah, August 4 / WAM / Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi’s circuit, as part of the “Scientific Degree” project for the current month of August, recalled that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, obtained an honorary doctorate from the University of Portuguese “Kecopra”, in October 2018.
This certificate comes in appreciation of the efforts of His Highness and its cultural achievements in the fields of history and literature and its research in which it reveals important historical facts about the relations and development of peoples, as the university described His Highness as “the man with which all cultures meet.”
The University of Kewibra, which was established in 1290, is one of the oldest universities in Europe and the world and the oldest university in Portugal and is one of the largest education and higher research institutions in Portugal and added in 2013 to the World Heritage sites at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and is an honorary doctorate with the highest scientific and honorary degree honored by the University Deanship of personalities who provided important services and exceptional fingerprints in one of the fields Scientific, literary or heritage.
The university granted this certificate throughout its history to 190 personalities and a scientist from Portugal and the world, including Antonio Guterres, Secretary -General of the United Nations and Jean -Claude Jonker, the former European Commission.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah appreciated in a speech during the honoring ceremony of the President of the President of the University of “Keimbra” in supporting the march of human culture and enhancing dialogue and partnership between all peoples.
