Suhail bin Butti: Silver "Golf World Cup" A qualitative shift for the Emirates School sport

Dubai, August 4/ WAM/ His Excellency Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Assistant Undersecretary for the Sports Development and Competitiveness Sector in the Ministry of Sports, President of the Emirates Sports Federation for School and University Education Institutions, stressed that the completion of Emirati player Asia Selim, who is crowned by the World Golf School Championship 2025, in the Moroccan capital Rabat recently, with the participation of 16 countries, is a qualitative shift for the Emirates School sport.

He said, in a statement today on this occasion, that the new achievement achieved by the Emirates School Sports in its first participation of its kind under the umbrella of the Emirates Sports Federation for School and University Education Institutions, and with the support of the Ministry of Sports, and in cooperation with the Emirates Golf Federation, embodies the UAE’s vision, in enabling national competencies and heroes, by investing school energies, because they are the main and main financier of the Emirates sport with talents at the level of all individual and group games.

Asia showed a distinguished performance in the category of girls under 18 years of age, and achieved the second place, after Moroccan player Sofia Sharif, the first place, and advanced on competitions from several countries, and the fourth Emirates came in the overall ranking with two silver medals between 16 countries, which is an advanced position calculated for the state in its first participation in the world championship.

His Excellency Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum explained that the coronation of the Emirati heroine in her Sunni category demonstrates the excellence and ability of national talents to achieve the achievements of the state, and a translation of the concerted efforts of the Emirates Committee for Sports Talents and Sports Support, noting the role of the Emirates Golf Federation.
He stressed that the achievement strengthens the UAE’s march in the field of developing school sport, by linking it to promising professional paths, as well as demonstrating the feasibility and success of national plans and programs based on integration between education and sports in order to prepare future champions and enable them to compete globally.
