Today, Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al -Jalajel begins an official visit to the Republic of Indonesia, with the aim of enhancing strategic cooperation between the two countries in the health field, and exploring partnership opportunities that support the targets of the health sector transformation program within the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The visit focuses on developing cooperation in the fields of medical tourism And the development of medical cadres, and raising health readiness for the Hajj and Umrah seasons, as well as exchanging experiences in a healthy digital transformation, and exploring opportunities Investing in the health care sector, in line with the Kingdom’s targets in improving the quality of health services and enhancing sustainability in the health sector.

The Minister of Health is scheduled to meet a number of senior officials in the Indonesian health sector to discuss cooperation opportunities in developing digital health systems, enhancing primary health care services, and upgrading the quality and efficiency of health facilities, based on the successful experiences of the two countries in this field.

He will also make field visits to a number of leading health institutions in Indonesia, with the aim of seeing best practices and exchanging experiences in developing the health care system.

This visit comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s efforts to develop its health system through the health sector transformation program, which is one of the basic programs for the 2030 vision, as it aims to restructure the health sector to be more efficient and sustainable, and to enhance international partnerships for health care development according to the latest international standards.

Minister Jalil is accompanied by a delegation that includes a number of health leaders from the Ministry of Health, the Health Specializations Authority and the Holding Company.
