The growth of the business sector in Al -Madinah Al -Munawwarah 37 % in 6 years

The Ministry of Commerce revealed the registration of the business sector in the city of Al -Madinah Al -Munawwarah by 37 % during 6 years, as the total existing commercial records reached more than 86,000 commercial records by the end of the year 2024 m, compared to 63,000 commercial records at the end of the year 2018 AD.
Institutions acquired the largest share of the total existing commercial records in the region, with a total of 73,700 commercial records, while companies records reached 12,500 commercial records.
The number of commercial records for institutions in the Madinah region did not exceed 55,000 commercial records at the end of the year 2018 AD, and companies records are 7,900 commercial records during the same period.
This comes at a time when the city of Medina is witnessing a growth in the size of the promising economic sectors and activities in order to achieve the Kingdom’s 2030 vision targets.
Among the most prominent activities that witnessed a growth in the region are the dates industry, the organization of tourist trips, the logistical services sector, the hotel sector, and the activities of computer programming, and contributed to the development of the local economy, the diversification of income sources, the increase in gross domestic product, and the creation of jobs.
