المملكة: Market congestion … annual suffering on the first day of Ramadan
This was confirmed by many citizens who demanded the competent authorities to organize the shopping process and reduce pressure on the markets, and to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable shopping experience for all.
Glorious congestion
Hussein Zain Al -Din said: “Every year the same suffering,” describing the crowding as “unbearable”, explaining that the prices are “crazyly rising”, and that the time to shop “exceeds every perception.”
Zinedine added that he is forced to go out late to avoid crowding, but he finds himself “stuck in the same vortex”, which affects his time, effort and budget, stressing that “shopping in Ramadan has become a heavy burden.”

And not only the economic specialist Maher Al -Saif refers to an increase in demand, but also believes that “the absence of the organization” is the main reason, adding: “Increased demand for purchase in Ramadan is normal, but the problem lies in the absence of clear plans from stores and consumers to regulate shopping.”
He pointed out that “the absence of awareness of peak times, the lack of promotional offers distributed throughout the month, and random shopping” are all factors that contribute to exacerbation of congestion.

Reducing congestion
A number of citizens suggested solutions to alleviate the intensity of congestion, including: organizing and extending work times, encouraging shopping in the less congestion periods by offering special offers, preparing prior purchase lists, avoiding peak times, encouraging online shopping, and distributing purchases throughout the month.
Social specialist Jaafar Al -Eid emphasized that crowding has “negative social effects”, as it increases “tension and nervousness between shoppers”, and leads to “quarrels and quarrels”, and also affects the “quality of life” for people to spend long hours in the markets instead of exploiting time in worship and communication.

For his part, the psychologist Faisal Al -Ajyan explained that crowding has a “great psychological effect”, as he generates “a feeling of psychological pressure, nervousness and anxiety”, and may lead to “stress and physical and psychological fatigue”, in addition to “frustration and distress as a result of the loss of time and effort.”
