Sharjah Award "For plastic criticism" The title of its 16th edition is launched

Sharjah, March 2 / WAM / The General Secretariat of the Sharjah Award for Fine Monitoring Research, titled “Inspection of Arab Heritage in Contemporary Arab Fine Art”, adopted a slogan for the 16th edition of the award that comes under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

Mohamed Ibrahim Al -Qusayr, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs at the Department of Culture, Secretary -General of the Award, said that the Sharjah Award for Monetary Research confirms in every new version the importance of care that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for Arab Fine Arts has been the award since its foundation in 2008 formed a milestone in relation to Arab plastic criticism by strengthening the visual concept through remarkable critical topics and supporting Arab critics.

He added that the award in this historical context has seized an important place in the Arab Library through documentation, issuance and publishing, noting that the winning research is issued in publications that have publication and distribution at the level of the Arab world, which constitutes a bridge to introduce the critic and his critical research on a large scale, explaining that the successive courses of the award presented more than 65 research to the technical critical scene from various Arab countries that distributed between the research of the winners and research Included by the jury of printing and publishing.

Al -Qusayr pointed out that the title of the current session focuses on a remarkable topic that has always occupied many Arab artists, which is the Arab heritage, stressing that they were inspired by this heritage rich in aesthetics and extensive artistic visions in their artistic works, pointing out that the title of the current version of the Sharjah Award for Fine Critical Research gives Arab critics wide research horizons for works that dealt with the narrative of man, place and time over the stages of Arab history.

It is noteworthy that the Sharjah Award for Fine Monitoring Research is unique in Arab in this critical field, as it is the only award that discusses a vital artistic topic and highlights the efforts made by Arab writers, critics and academics and keeping pace with the new development on fine arts.
