The Ministry of Culture launches “cultural experiences” to enhance national identity through innovative interactive methods
Declared Saudi heritage and traditional arts in modern and innovative ways.
The program comes with a vision based on transforming culture from a theoretical concept into a living practice, by providing direct experiences that touch the details of daily life, and connect individuals with the components of national identity in an interactive manner that enhances the depth of connection with cultural heritage.
Program Paths
In its first phase, the program launches through two main paths, the first of which begins with the “Culinary Experiences” path, which will be held during the month of April this year. At the Higher Institute of Tourism and Hospitality, in three cities: Riyadh, Al-Baha, and Jazan.
This track focuses on highlighting Saudi cuisine as one of the most prominent elements of cultural identity, through practical experiences that enable participants to learn to prepare selected traditional dishes, under the supervision of specialized chefs, in addition to learning about the stories of these dishes, their ingredients, and their cultural connotations, in an experience that combines learning and fun, and enhances the connection to the local food heritage.
As for the second track, “Experiences “Handmade”, which highlights the artistic dimension of traditional crafts, through interactive workshops led by specialized craftsmen, giving participants the opportunity to explore different techniques and methods of handicrafts, and to participate in the production of artistic pieces that reflect the spirit of heritage, which contributes to raising awareness of the importance of these crafts and their role in preserving cultural identity, in addition to developing the creative sense of community members.
The program goes through several organizational stages, starting with announcing the experiments through the official Ministry of Culture platforms, in addition to the “WeBook” platform, which allows viewing the details of the events. And its dates and registration mechanism.
Choose the appropriate experience
The platform enables those wishing to choose the appropriate experience, before receiving a confirmation message that includes all the information related to participation, from location and timing to attendance requirements, ensuring an organized and smooth experience, all the way to the attendance of participants at activation sites in their cities, and engaging in interactive activities provided by specialists.
“Cultural experiences” are viewed as a qualitative platform for enhancing community participation, enriching cultural knowledge, And building effective communication bridges between society and cultural entities, in addition to its role in creating environments that embrace common interests, and motivating individuals to contribute to the cultural movement, as participants and producers at the same time.
The program is also consistent with the goals of the National Strategy for Culture, by raising the level of cultural awareness and enhancing the presence of arts and heritage in daily life, which contributes to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which places culture as one of the engines of quality of life and sustainable community development.
