"Golf Federation"We have achieved a historic achievement in the Gulf Championship in Saudi Arabia
Dubai, March 2 / WAM / Major General “M” Abdullah Al -Sayed Al -Hashemi, Vice President of the Emirates Golf Federation, confirmed that our national team’s victory for the Gulf Championship for the first time in its history, and the player Ahmed Skik crowning the Gulf title champion award, and the 18 -year team won third place, with players from the under 16 years, is a historic achievement for this sport.
He explained that what was achieved during the championship held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, culminates in support and care from the wise leadership of the Emirati sport, the intensive efforts and the continuous work of the Board of Directors led by His Excellency Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, and the management of the federation, in addition to the technical and administrative bodies.
Al -Hashemi congratulated the player Ahmed Skik on his excellence in the championship, and his superiority over competitors, by achieving a record in the history of the Gulf championships, with a total of 18 strikes under the rate.
He explained that the golf teams have competitiveness at the level of the Gulf region, and looks forward to competition with the Arab teams, in a way that reflects their development, to achieve more Arab and international achievements, hoping to reach the world through partnerships with governmental and private institutions, and to enhance the chances of some team players reaching the stage of professionalism.
