1.38 trillion riyals .. Individual loans in Saudi Arabia at the end of January 2025

According to the monthly statistical bulletin issued by the Saudi Central Bank “Sama”, individuals for bank credit increased in January on an annual basis by 10.5%, compared to 1.249 trillion riyals in the same month last year.
Individual loans
According to the bulletin, individuals ’loans rose on a monthly basis by 1%, last January, compared to 1,366 trillion riyals in December 2024.
Real estate loans
The second place came from real estate activities, a bank credit of 343.593 billion riyals, high on an annual and monthly basis by 30.6%, and 3.1%, respectively.
In the third rank, the activity of wholesale and retail was a bank credit of 203.897 billion riyals, up 11.1% on an annual basis, while increasing by 2.5% on a monthly basis.
Manufacturing industries
The fourth place was ranked fourth, manufacturing industries, a bank credit of 190.186 billion riyals, high on an annual and monthly basis, by 29.21%, and 2.5%, respectively.
According to the bulletin, it came in the fifth rank, the activity of electricity, gas and water supplies of bank credit, 186.406 billion riyals, high on an annual and monthly basis by 26.6%, and 1.9%, respectively.
Financial activities and insurance activities ranked sixth, a bank credit of 137.618 billion riyals, up 32.1% on an annual basis, while increased by 0.7% on a monthly basis.
Construction activity
The bank credit granted for the construction activity recorded 125.009 billion riyals, high on an annual and monthly basis by 0.9%, and 3.9%, respectively.
The bank credit granted for transportation and storage activity reached 51.880 billion riyals, up 15.6% on an annual basis, while it increased by 0.7% on a monthly basis.
According to the bulletin, the bank credit granted for mining and mining activity recorded 51.451 billion riyals, up 27.8% on an annual basis, while it decreased by 1.8% on a monthly basis.
The bank credit granted for administrative and support services activity recorded 39.596 billion riyals, while accommodation and food services activities received bank credit last January, of 39.024 billion riyals.
The information and communication activity amounted to 27.406 billion riyals, while bank credit granted for human health and social work activities amounted to 21.980 billion riyals, while bank credit for agriculture, forests and fishing reached 8.780 billion riyals.
The bulletin reported that the education activity obtained a bank credit of 8.429 billion riyals, while professional, scientific and technical activities obtained 8.384 billion riyals.
