Ibn Touq: 15500 Chinese companies operating in the UAE market

Abu Dhabi, March 3 / WAM / His Excellency Abdullah Bin Touq Al -Marri, Minister of Economy, President of Intensopia, stressed that the Chinese and Arab business leaders held recently represented a new chapter in economic relations between Arab countries and China, indicating that the joint relations witnessed a continuous momentum during the last period, and that the UAE is keen to contribute to the development of this strategic partnership, and pushing it to more advanced levels And prosperity.
This came during the “Investopia 2025”, recently, a new version of the summit of Chinese and Arab entrepreneurs, under the slogan “seizing emerging opportunities”, in the presence of His Excellency Jean -Pierre Ravarran, the co -chair of the China International Federation of Entrepreneurs and former Prime Minister of France; And His Excellency Zhao Liang, the Chargé d’Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the UAE.
The summit witnessed a number of sessions with the participation of 18 speakers, the participation and attendance of more than 400 leaders and decision -makers from the Arab world and China.
His Excellency added that the UAE and China are linked to strong economic and commercial relations, as China is the largest commercial partner for the Emirates, and in return the UAE is the largest partner for China in the Middle East and North Africa region, especially with the presence of nearly 15500 Chinese companies working in the UAE markets so far.
He added: “We are confident that the common denominators in visions and strategies by expanding the sectors of the new economy will enhance the future of economic and investment relations.”
His Excellency stressed that during the past decades, the Emirati market has succeeded in attracting large Chinese investments, as hundreds of Chinese companies invested more than 6 billion dollars in various sectors such as retail, financial services, real estate and construction, taking advantage of the competitive business environment developed by the state, such as long -term residence programs and the availability of foreign ownership of companies by 100%, and facilitating commercial licensing procedures and ease of establishing business, in a way that establishes the UAE’s position As a pioneering destination for business and investment, in light of the targets of the “UAE 2031” vision.
His Excellency pointed out that the UAE supports the Belt and Road initiative to enhance joint prosperity and economic development, as it contributes to the development of trade and increased investment flows, and to build extended economic partnerships that benefit the Arab and Chinese sides.
His Excellency Ben Touq called for the importance of employing modern technologies, enhancing the entrepreneurial environment and turning global economic challenges into opportunities by enhancing the flexibility of the region’s economies.
His Excellency said: “The Chinese and Arab entrepreneurship summit is a vital platform to enhance economic and investment partnerships between the Arab world and China, and provides an important opportunity to explore new horizons in the new economy sectors, including technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and joint prosperity.”
“We believe in the great capabilities of the economic growth of the Middle East region during the next decade, and the UAE is an ideal center for Chinese companies to establish a local presence linking the most prominent business leaders, public policies and society at the level of the region and the world.”
In turn, William Wang, the main representative of the Union in the Middle East and Africa, said: “During the past ten years, we have succeeded in defining more than 800 business leaders and public policies in China in the business environment in the UAE, where they had the opportunity to explore the opportunities and potentials provided by the state markets, and we contributed to facilitating their access to new markets from the UAE, given its openness and communication with all markets Regionally and globally.
The summit included sessions of a group of speakers from the Arab and Chinese sides, where Shu Xialan, head of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and the former Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology in China, delivered a speech entitled “Cooperation in developing the robot industry … new opportunities in the smart era”, in which she shed light on the capabilities of artificial intelligence technologies and robots in promoting economic partnerships between the Arab world and China.
The summit witnessed a high-level dialogue session entitled “Financing innovation and growth”, and the session focused on the Chinese-Arab-American dialogue on the role of financial institutions in supporting the new economy and industrial development through international cooperation, where speakers discussed the importance of the role that financial institutions play in stimulating industrial transformation and promoting innovation, stressing that cross-border financial cooperation is a pivotal factor in supporting startups And enable entrepreneurs to reach the necessary funding to develop their projects.
In a session entitled “Promoting cross -border investment to support the growth of the new economy,” the participants discussed ways to enhance global investment flows and their role in supporting startups and developing innovation. The speakers pointed out that economic cooperation between the Arab, Chinese and global markets contributes to building a sustainable investment environment that supports the shift towards the new economy, by linking emerging markets to global financing.
Hamad Al Mazrouei, CEO of the Registration Authority in the “Abu Dhabi International Market”, delivered a speech on “empowering future workforce”, in which he stressed that empowering these forces has become a key factor in promoting economic growth and ensuring sustainable development.
Al Mazrouei highlighted the importance of developing digital skills and enhancing training and qualification programs to keep pace with the requirements of the changing labor market.
He stressed that investing in vocational education and development is an essential pillar to ensure the ability of the workforce to adapt to technological transformations and contribute to the growth of the new economy.
In addition, the session “Detecting Minds of Tomorrow” discussed the importance of education for the development of business, and preparing global leaders to face today’s challenges and building a more sustainable future. The session focused on the role of academic institutions in reshaping business environments in line with technological developments and rapid economic changes.

The summit witnessed the announcement of the signing of 6 new partnerships for the China International Entrepreneurship Union with a group of institutions, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al -Marri, Jean -Pierre Rafaran, and the list of partners included both Intensopia, the permanent ministerial committee for scientific and technological cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Abu Dhabi International Market Academy, the Abu Dhabi College of Management, Hub 71, Saal, Wecarbon.
