“Dubai Roads” sends awareness messages to drivers and pedestrians in Ramadan

Coinciding with the start of the holy month of Ramadan, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority launched a series of awareness and educational activities and activities, which target various groups of society, led by workers, taxi drivers, heavy vehicles, bicycle users and electric silences, as part of the authority’s efforts towards raising the level of awareness of traffic safety, reducing accidents, and mentioning the dates of trucking movement during the month Al -Fadil.

The authority is keen to keep pace with events and occasions with modern and smart messages that serve its vision towards “global leadership in easy and sustainable movement” and achieving targeting traffic safety strategy in the Emirate of Dubai, in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the General Command of Dubai Police, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Action Department in Dubai, and the private sector.

The Authority called on drivers to show the virtues and advantages of the holy month, whose effects should leave on the behavior of individuals, including commitment to traffic rules and respect for the rights of road users, stressing the dangers of driving during a feeling of fatigue or drowsiness, especially in the holy month of Ramadan, in which focus rates decrease in some drivers due to changes that occur in the body as a result of fasting.

The authority cooperated with the Noun Company for the distribution of 10,000 Ramadan gifts to the drivers of delivery, which contains an awareness bulletin about the traffic safety procedures and requirements for this category, and the authority cooperated with Leicesin to distribute 10,000 Ramadan gifts that contain an awareness bulletin directed to vehicle drivers, metro users, bicycles and electric silence Awareness aimed at Dubai Taxi drivers, public buses and truck drivers, in cooperation with the Dubai Taxi Company, Dubai Investment, Tokyo Marin Marine Insurance Company, the Emirates Institute for Car Driving, the Classari Institute and the Ben Yaber Institute for Education for driving.

Truck -prohibition times
The authority was keen to educate heavy vehicle drivers about the truck movement ban times during the month of Ramadan on the E11 axis from the Emirate of Sharjah to the intersection No. 7 from Sheikh Zayed Street (passing through Al -Ittihad Street, Sheikh Rashid Street and Sheikh Zayed Street), in addition to the city center in Deira Bar Dubai from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, in addition to adjusting the embargo during the morning period in the streets, on which the ban times apply three times a day, so that it begins. The ban from 07:30 am to 09:30 am. From: 02:00 pm until 04:00 pm, the ban on Emirates Street was modified from 4:30 pm to 7 pm.
