The emergency Arab summit adopts the Egyptian plan for the reconstruction of Gaza

Today, the extraordinary Arab summit adopted the plan submitted by the Arab Republic of Egypt, in full coordination with the State of Palestine and the Arab countries, based on the studies conducted by the World Bank and the United Nations Development Fund on early recovery and the reconstruction of Gaza; As a comprehensive Arab plan, and work to provide types of financial, material and political support to implement them.
The extraordinary Arab summit in the “Cairo statement” issued at the conclusion of its work held under the chairmanship of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi in the new administrative capital urged the international community and international and regional financing institutions to quickly provide the necessary support to the plan, stressing that these efforts are proceeding in parallel with the inauguration of a political path and horizon for a permanent and fair solution by achieving the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people in establishing their state and living in peace and security.
The extraordinary Arab summit welcomed an international conference in Cairo as soon as possible; To recover and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, in cooperation with the State of Palestine and the United Nations and inviting the international community to participate in it to accelerate the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and work to establish a credit fund to receive financial pledges from all countries and donor financing institutions, with the aim of implementing recovery and reconstruction projects.
The summit affirmed the clear Arab position, which was repeatedly stressed, including the announcement of Bahrain issued on May 16, 2024, with the categorical rejection of any form of the displacement of the Palestinian people from their land or within it, and under any name, circumstance, justification or claims, as this is a serious violation of international law and a crime against humanity and an ethnic purification, as well as the condemnation of the policies of starvation and the burned land aimed at forcing The Palestinian people to leave their land, while stressing the need for Israel’s commitment to the occupying power, the relevant international legitimacy decisions, which reject any attempts to change the demographics in the Palestinian land.
The summit condemned the recent decision by the Israeli government to stop the introduction of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and the closure of the crossings used in relief work, stressing that these measures are a violation of the ceasefire agreement, international law and international humanitarian law; Including the Fourth Geneva Convention, expressing the refusal of Israel to use the siege of the siege and the starvation of civilians to try to achieve political purposes.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi thanked during his speech at the end of the emergency Arab summit in Cairo, thanks and great appreciation to Arab leaders and leaders for your sincere effort, vision and your estimated support.
He also thanked the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of the current session of the League of Arab States for his efforts in holding this unusual summit.
Al -Sisi said, at the conclusion of the Arab summit: “The plan was adopted … At the end of this central summit, I extend my brothers with sincere thanks and great appreciation for your sincere effort and your estimated support for what was presented.”
At the beginning of the emergency summit, the Egyptian President revealed that the plan on Gaza includes the survival of the Palestinians on their soil.
He stated that Egypt will host a conference for the reconstruction of Gaza next month, adding, “We worked with the Palestinians to establish an independent committee to rule Gaza.”
He explained: “Egypt is training the Palestinian security cadres that will take security in the Gaza Strip.”
He continued: “We call on the Arab countries to adopt the Egyptian plan on Gaza … and there is no peace without establishing an independent Palestinian state.”
The Egyptian President expressed his confidence in the ability of his American counterpart Donald Trump to achieve peace regarding the Palestinian issue, highlighting, “The peace agreement with Egypt must be built to support the peace path in the region.”
This plan aims to confront an American proposal to control the Gaza Strip and resettle its residents in neighboring countries.
