The European Commission suggests extending gas storage requirements until 2027

Brussels, on March 5 / WAM / The European Commission in Brussels proposed to maintain the requirements and goals of storing gas in the European Union for another two years, with the aim of ensuring energy security on the continent, despite some countries’ concerns that these goals may raise gas prices.
The proposal includes keeping the goal of filling out of gas storage facilities to 90 % by the first of November of each year until 2027, in addition to phased goals before that date.
The proposal will be negotiated and approved by the European Union countries and the European Parliament.
