المملكة: Eastern in the third place .. 44 thousand land transport violations in the Kingdom within a month

Within the framework of its ongoing efforts to enhance compliance with the regulations and requirements in the transport sector, the General Transport Authority, in cooperation with the concerned authorities, carried out more than 324 thousand examination operations during the month of February 2025, which included land, maritime and silent transport activities, with the aim of raising the level of quality and safety in various transportation patterns.
The land transport recorded the largest number of examination operations at 316,193 operations, then maritime transport with 8,448 operations, while the rail transport sector witnessed 76 examination operations, with a full compliance rate of 100%.

Monitor violations

The regulatory teams monitored 44,059 violations in land transport, and in the marine sector, the supervisory teams monitored 33 violations, and 99 notes in the rail transport.

At the level of the regions, the Makkah Al -Mukarramah region topped the number of violations by 15,806 violations, followed by Riyadh 12,682 violations, then the eastern region with 4,720 violations, while Medina recorded 2,656 violations.
The Najran region also recorded 1,669 violations, in addition to other violations in separate areas, and among the most prominent observations is: the practice of transportation activity without obtaining regular licenses, in addition to transporting goods without obtaining official approvals.
The General Transport Authority affirmed its continuous commitment to enhance effective oversight to ensure compliance and raise the efficiency of transportation services, in a way that contributes to developing the sector and achieving the highest quality and safety standards to serve the beneficiaries.
