المملكة: “Vegetable Cover” .. Monitoring 2930 environmental violations related to the argument in 2024

The National Center for the Development of Vegetable Cover and Combating Desertification revealed the monitoring and registration of 2930 violations of the environment system and its executive regulations related to the effect and the development of vegetation during the past year 2024, in all regions of the Kingdom.

Intensive efforts to control violations

These figures come in the context of the center’s relevant efforts to monitor vegetarian cover sites, and reduce illegal practices that threaten green spaces.
The center stated that these violations were seized in cooperation with the relevant authorities, as the field teams were able to confiscate large quantities of firewood and coal.
He explained that the size of the seizures was estimated at 10,049 cubic meters of local firewood, in addition to more than 10,032 cubic meters of local coal.

Dealing with violators and emphasizing controls

In the details of the largest seizure, the center indicated that one raid in the Riyadh region resulted in the recovery of more than 650 cubic meters of local coal.
The necessary measures were taken against the violators, as they were referred to the competent security authorities for investigation and the application of the penalties stipulated.
The National Center for the Development of Vegetable Cover and Combating Desertification stressed its pivotal role in defining the rules and conditions regulating the operations, and issuing the necessary licenses and permits in accordance with the executive regulations of the environment system.
He pointed out that he intensifies his efforts to monitor the lands of vegetation throughout the Kingdom, through its control and protection teams, which depend on the latest technologies to monitor violations and control violators, with the aim of preserving the vegetation and ensuring its sustainability.
