The UAE embassy in Mogadishu supervises the delivery of food baskets

Mogadishu on March 6 / WAM / The UAE Embassy in Mogadishu delivered a number of food baskets to the Somali government to be distributed during the month of Ramadan for the year 2025, about 5 thousand people, in coordination with the National Crisis and Disaster Management Authority.
“This initiative comes within the framework of the close relations between the UAE and the Federal Republic of Somalia, and within the established values of the UAE, which is based on cooperation and brotherhood to provide the needs of families in this blessed month,” said His Excellency Ahmed Juma Al -Rumaithi, the UAE ambassador to the Federal Republic of Somalia.
His Excellency added: “We were pleased to receive the holy month with the joy of the siblings in the Federal Republic of Somalia by providing food baskets, in response to the directives of the rational leadership in the UAE, and based on the humanitarian approach and solidarity, and in compliance with the established values and principles of the state.”
For his part, His Excellency Mahmoud, Director General of the National Authority for Crisis Management and Disaster Management, said: “Somalia is a government and people who appreciate and appreciates the role of the UAE in alleviating the burdens that fall on the Somali people in many fields, especially the relief field, as the UAE is the most prominent countries that provided humanitarian aid to Somalia during the last period, which had a great role in providing humanitarian and relief support to the Somali people.”
