Judo Federation depends on the team’s participation in the championship "Tbilisi Grand Salam"
Abu Dhabi, March 8 / WAM / The Board of Directors of the Emirates Judo Federation, headed by His Excellency Mohamed Bin Thaloub Al -Darai, approved the participation of the first national team in the “Tbilisi Grand Salam” Judo, hosted by the Georgian Judo Federation during the period from 21 to 23 March, and comes within the program of preparation and qualification for the Los Angeles Olympics 2028.
The Federation has set the participating in 4 players according to their classification and the level of the next championship, who are Naji Yazbek, in the weight of under 66 kg, winner of the Casablanca International Open Gold, Karim Abdel Latif, under 73 kg, winner of the Casablanca Championship, and Amr Jad, the winner of the bronze medal in the “Tashkent Grand Salam” championship, and Suleiman Ibrahim, in a weight under 90 kg, The winner of the Casablanca International Open Championship.
On the other hand, our national team concludes its participation today in the Grand Prix of Judo “Grand Berry”, which is organized by the Austrian Judo Federation with the participation of more than 400 players, from 52 countries with financial prizes of 100,000 euros.
With our player Mohamed Yazbek, tomorrow, an important fight in under 73 kg with the Romanian Poor’s Lucian, in the preliminary round.
Our players, Bashirat Khardi, lost to the Japanese player Aoy Airha, world champion, in a weight of under 52 kg, as the fight ended in favor of the Japanese with a score of 1/zero, so that the Japanese player could win the gold of that weight.
The player Narmenand lost a statement, in front of the Austrian champion, Oyer Carlos, the owner of the land and the public, by a decision of the referees of the table and the mouse, after our player was 10/zero.
