"Sharjah Arts" Release "March 2025 meeting"

Sharjah, March 8 / WAM / The 17th session of the annual March meeting, which is organized by the Sharjah Art Foundation, was launched yesterday, which will be held at the Qasimiya School in Sharjah until March 9.

This session coincides with the blessed month of Ramadan, which carries the values ​​of giving and communication, which makes the meeting an ideal platform for embodying these values ​​through cultural and artistic exchange.

This year’s session is titled “In our Rahal Songs”, which highlights the importance of the collective spirit in activating the arts and cultural communication, and exploring fundamental questions such as “What remains preserved? What is transmitted through the body and sound?”

The Mars meeting is also an opportunity to explore how to harness the songs as a tool for cultural memory and preserving heritage, it is not just words, but rather maps that lead us, breaths that we breathe, and a teacher directing us to listen.

The current version of the March meeting with “Sharjah 16 Biennial: Our Rahal”, which started on February 6, coincides with more than 650 artworks for nearly 200 participants. The program includes a variety of dialogue sessions, performance shows and musical events that focus on collective interaction, songs and inherited knowledge.

The first day of the meeting includes a dialogue session between the artist Hashil Al -Lamki and the value of Amal Khalaf to explore the interference between art and cultural heritage, in addition to the performance presentation “Bring a witness” by the writer and evaluation Saadia Shirazi, who deals with the rituals of sadness and mourning.

On the second day, the musician Mara TKi of New Zealand performs a special musical performance, while poet Athens Farzazad shows the choir of “eager beings and rebel choir”. The program also includes a dialogue on “the legacy of transformations” between the artist Raven Chocon and activist Nessia Campston.

As for the closing day, a dialogue session on the “Roots of Power: Features and Modern Economics” is witnessed under the supervision of Zainab Oz, in addition to a presentation on “The Art of Constitutional Transformation” between the artist Luke Willis Thompson and the valuable Meghan Tamati-Suwill.

The meeting concludes with a music show presented by the “Charker Yar -Quadi Al -Faqir” band, which will present a mixture of Sufi poetry and Punjabi’s heritage.

The activities revolve around enhancing the values ​​of solidarity and communication, as it concludes every day with moments of sharing about food tables and musical performances, with inspiration for the spirit of the holy month.
