Differences in the prices of “reduced commodities” between sales outlets of up to 60% during Ramadan

Consumers said that there are large differences of up to 60% in the prices of “reduced goods” in Ramadan, in major selling outlets, which contributed to obtaining goods at the cheapest prices, noting that these differences include basic and non -essential commodities, the demand for them during Ramadan, in particular.
They stressed the importance of making comparisons between commodity prices in various sales outlets, to obtain the best prices, noting that the comparison has become very easy now, especially since most of the outlets are present online, on the locations and platforms of the ports, as well as in the bulletins they issue on a weekly basis.
On the other hand, two officials in the perpetrators of the sale of «Emirates Today» said that the strong competition between the outlets with each other, and between them and electronic platforms, contributed to the occurrence of significant discounts in the goods, and thus the consumers obtaining many goods at very low prices, adding that the reduction rates differ from one port to another, and depend on several factors, the most important of which is the percentage of the port profit, and the agreement with the suppliers and producers of the commodity on rates Discounts, shipping cost and others.
Big differences
In detail, the consumer, Osama Salah, said that he noticed large differences of up to 60% between the prices of reduced goods, during the current Ramadan discounts, in a number of major sales outlets, which contributed to obtaining some commodities at the cheapest prices.
He explained that one of the outlets of the sales displays one of the famous “basmati” rice at a price of 72 dirham 22.95 dirhams to 14.95 dirhams, while the price of the same class in another outlet, after the reduction 10.95 dirhams, a decrease of 26.7% from the price of the first port.
He stressed that he does not buy many commodities, except after a comparison between their prices in the outlets, especially during the month of Ramadan, especially since the offers are strong, and the rates of discounts are large.
The consumer, Mahmoud Al -Zain, said that he noticed large differences that exceed 40% between the prices of reduced goods during Ramadan in the outlets, which contributed to obtaining goods at very appropriate prices.
He added that one of the sales outlets, for example, offered a price offer to one of the types of luxury dates, to decrease the price of 55 dirhams, to 45 dirhams, but another outlet was offered a offer at a price of 25 dirhams, a decrease of 44.4% from the first port, which encouraged him to buy it. Another outlet also offered a reduction on (chicken broth) to decrease the price of 22.95 dirhams, to 18.95 dirhams, while another port reduced it to 14.90 dirhams, 21% between the price in the perpetrators.

Also, the outlet of sale was offered to one of the types of “sunflower oil”, 3 packages in one package, to drop the price from 65.25 dirhams, to 40.25 dirhams, while another port offered, a presentation on the variety and the number of packages themselves, at a price of 34 dirhams, with a difference of 15.5%. Another port offered an offer on a product, the demand for it increases in Ramadan (Karim Karamel) at a price of 13.50 dirhams, after its price before the opponent was 30 dirhams, while another port offered an offer on the class and the same amount, at a price of 22 dirhams, with a difference of more than 38.6%.

On the other hand, the official in one of the major sales outlets, Rajif Tamara, said that “the intense competition between the outlets in Ramadan, and between them and the electronic platforms contributed to the occurrence of significant discounts in the goods, and thus the consumers obtaining many goods at the best prices.”
He explained that the reduction rates differ from one port to another, and depend on several factors, the most important of which is the percentage of the port profit, and the agreement with the supplier or product of the commodity on the rates of discounts and the cost of shipping.
An official at one of the major sales outlets that have branches in the various emirates of the state, Yaqoub Omran, agreed with Tamara, explaining that “the difference in the rates of decline allows consumers a great deal of freedom of choice and flexibility, in order to achieve their greatest benefit.”
He noted that Ramadan discounts, this year, are large, and include a large number of commodities, amid strong competition in retail markets, which achieves the largest benefit for consumers, indicating that Ramadan is one of the most important purchasing seasons, during the year, and goods have significant discounts over a full month.

Retail expert, Davi Nagphal, praised the growing awareness of some consumers, pointing out that the consumer must compare the prices of commodities before purchase, especially since there is great competition between the outlets in Ramadan, with increased consumer spending, which benefits the outlets that achieve large profits, despite the discounts.
