The President of the State receives the Somali President
Abu Dhabi, March 10 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, received today His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, who is on a work visit to the state … in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Presidential Court and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
His Highness and the Somali President – during the meeting that took place at the Al -Bateen Palace in Abu Dhabi – exchanged congratulations and wishes on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan … asking God Almighty to bring him back to the two countries and their people with good, blessing and prosperity.
His Highness the President of the State and the Somali President discussed the brotherly relations between the two countries and ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields, especially with regard to the efforts to achieve development and stability in brotherly Somalia.
In this context, President Hassan Sheikh praised the role of the UAE and its continuous support to the Republic of Somalia in various fields, especially supporting development efforts to achieve the aspirations of its people towards development, stability and prosperity.
The Al -Bateen Palace Council was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Ain region and His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, and the team, His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Upper Zayed Foundation Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidency Bureau for Special Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the State and a number of elders, ministers, senior officials and citizens.
