Ukraine agrees to an American proposal with an immediate truce of 30 days with Russia

The United States and Ukraine said in a joint statement that Kiev agreed to accept a 30 -day ceasefire in the conflict with Russia during talks with US officials in Saudi Arabia.

“We will transfer this offer now to the Russians and hope they will agree to peace. The ball is now in their stadium,” said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, after talks that lasted for more than eight hours in Jeddah.

The two sides also said that Washington and Kiev agreed to finish a comprehensive agreement as soon as possible to develop vital metal resources for Ukraine, the deal that was under preparation for weeks but it became unknown after a meeting of the semi -tension in the White House between Trump and Zelinski last week.

Zelinski said that the two countries will work to finish the metal agreement.

One of the leading assistants of Zelinski said that the options for the security guarantees of Ukraine were discussed with American officials. The assistant did not explain these options.

The United States will resume the exchange of intelligence information with Kyiv.
