89 entities and a company that achieves compliance requirements for the implementation of the national standard for business continuity in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, March 12 / WAM / The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Center for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi announced the completion of 89 government and private entities and company, the requirements for compliance with the implementation of the national standard for the continuity of business in the emirate.

This came in the context of the first and second sessions of the external audit conducted by the center with the aim of ensuring the readiness of local authorities and companies in the emirate to deal with emergency events, and to ensure that they meet the main requirements of the national standard for the business continuity management system.

This step comes within the framework of the center’s commitment to enhance the readiness of the various parties working in the emirate to provide its vital services as usual in emergencies and crises, in a way that enhances the pioneering status of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in its ability to deal with various emergency conditions.

The audit included 90 entities and a government company in addition to 3 companies from the private sector, starting from the year 2021 through a team chaired by the center’s representative and membership of employees, including the presence of a representative of the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management.

Sheikha Khamis Al -Azizi, Director of Business Continuity and Service Department at the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Center for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi said that the auditing process comes within the framework of the center’s strategy to ensure the readiness of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in emergency and crises, and in line with the goal of the Abu Dhabi government represented in providing security and safety for all, and this process included measuring the level of compliance through the strategic local index «the proportion of the commitment of the authorities to apply a continuity standard Business ».

She explained that the center attaches great importance to consolidating the bonds of cooperation and communication with all concerned authorities and along the stages of the external audit process, noting that this is done within the framework of an annual plan to communicate with the authorities and companies in the emirate in order to enhance awareness of ways to ensure the optimal application of the business continuity management system.

Al -Azizi affirmed the center’s keenness to organize public and specialized awareness workshops throughout the year to enhance the culture of business continuity at all job levels.

The list of prominent achievements achieved by the center in this context included achieving integration in checking the item of technological recovery, and preparing a detailed study on measuring awareness and knowledge in the continuity of business at the level of the emirate in addition to setting the organizational policy and the guiding guide for reserve electrical systems in the vital facilities of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi standard for the continuity of business for health care activity within the Abu Dhabi Standards Package for Business Continuity Vitality, in cooperation with strategic partners.

The National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management has issued a perspective of the continuity of the AE/SCNS/NCMA 7000: 2021 for the purpose of requesting an effective management system that provides the ability to continue the basic processes during the cases of giving and contributes to ensuring the readiness of sectors And vital activities in the emirate in various circumstances.

The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Center for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is keen to support government and private authorities and companies in implementing the business continuity management system and enabling it to adopt it as an institutional administrative system to ensure the quality of services and the activities it provides in all circumstances.
