The Secretary -General welcomes the signature of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on a border treaty

The Secretary -General – in a statement attributed to his spokesman – congratulated the two countries on this historical achievement, praising their leadership, design and political will to reach the decades -continuing negotiation process.

The Secretary -General said that he is looking forward to a constructive and sustainable engagement between the two countries towards enhancing mutual trust, good -neighborly relations and a peaceful future for their people and the wider region.
