“The Caravan” magazine discusses the future of the Internet and explores the worlds of spring

The “Caravan” magazine issued its new issue (709) for March and April 2025, which discussed the impact of artificial intelligence and deep forgery on the future of the Internet, and celebrated the spring semester with its aesthetic and renewal symbolism, and also included literary, artistic and scientific articles that highlight the current developments and various cultural spaces.
The editorial of the number dealt with the role of digital technology in the media scene, starting from the Saudi Media Forum held in Riyadh last February, where a large number of focusing on the influence of technology on the future of “media in a world is formed”.

In the issue of the number, a number of specialists dealt with “the future of the Internet and the global village in light of the deep forgery”, to highlight the amazing ability of artificial intelligence techniques to produce sound, video and false images that mimic reality with amazing accuracy, which opens new media horizons and raises questions about the credibility of information in the digital age.
The discussion also touched on ways to face the misuse of such technologies, by enhancing media awareness of the public and developing smart counter techniques that reveal the fake content.

“Hubal” .. and Arabic and the masks of identity

In the chapter “Literature and Arts”, Wael Farouk wrote about the interaction between the Arabic language and the “other” and the impact of this in its development, starting with the contributions of scholars of non -Arabic origins in establishing language sciences, and through the influence of the translation and Orientalist movement, and ending with the role of cultural centers outside the Arab world in the introduction of a language that it describes as “a river between two banks … oriental and western.”
For his part, Shuaib Al -Halifi highlighted another linguistic dimension related to the torn spirit that characterizes Arabic literature written in a foreign language, as this continuous discussion is extinguished again on the surface after the announcement of the victory of the Algerian writer, Kamal Dawood, with the “Junukour” award.
Shawky Bazia regained features of a picture of the memory of the Lebanese poet Elias Abu Shabaka, “The Poet of the Introduction and the Tense Language.” As for Tami Al -Sumairi, he explored the pictures of the neighbor in the Arabic novel, referring to the social transformations that affected the concept of neighborhood over time.
In a Saudi cinema, we read a critical reading of the movie “Hubal” written by Dr. Fahd Al -Hindal, while Zaki Al -Saddir sheds light in a brush and chisel on the artistic style of Omani sculptures, Ahmed Al -Shabibi, who is characterized by stripping Arabic calligraphy and turning it into contemporary visual works.

In the section of science and technology, Dr. Abdul -Rahman Al -Shaqir on “The History of Mining in Alia Najd”, researcher the subject of mineral extraction in the region and its economic importance. As for Nidal Qassoum, it deals with “exotic phenomena and bodies” and the controversy that arises around them, as it monitors and evaluates the lens of science increasing beliefs about unknown flying bodies and uncommon phenomena, which some link to the presence of aliens.
Rumman Saliba discusses the impact of pets in improving mental health, especially in light of modern social changes. Fatima Al -Baghdadi also begins the journey of searching for self -beauty, which highlighted the concept of “body image” in humans, since it began to form with the invention of mirrors and reaching its influence today by social media.
