The British government pledges to support those who are unable to work

The British government said it would seek to support the most vulnerable groups in the country.
This comes at a time when plans to reduce spending on social welfare unlike within the ruling Labor Party.

Health Minister Wes Stretting said that the government’s social welfare reforms aim to support people who are unable to work.
“At the same time, you help those who can find work,” he added.

Stretting refused to comment on reports stating that the government is preparing to retract some prescribed social care discounts.

Personal independence payments in Britain

Strighting said that he had not seen full plans, in response to a specific question about whether the government intends to give up its plan to freeze the increase in personal independence payments associated with inflation.
It is a dedicated aid to help people with disabilities bear the additional living costs resulting from their disability, and are not related to work.
