المملكة: “Environmental Commitment” carries out 261 inspection rounds in Mecca and Madinah

The National Center for Environmental Commitment has implemented 261 extensive inspection rounds on all development activities in Madinah and Makkah Al -Mukarramah.
The tours come during the first half of the current holy month of Ramadan to ensure that the level of air, water and soil quality is raised and free of pollutants.

Inspection Tours of the Environmental Committee Center

The inspection tours included about 50 inspectors and inspectors of qualified national cadres and environmental impact installations, especially those on the roads that pilgrims and visitors take to come to Makkah and Madinah.
These facilities include fuel stations, development projects, sewage stations, health sector and slaughterhouse.
In addition to the facilities and surrounding the Mecca and Prophets, the mosques and other historical sites that are intended by the visitors of Makkah and Madinah.

Raise the efficiency of environmental control

Intensive field tours come in the holy month, according to the plan of the Ramadan season, coinciding with the high number of pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
It also comes within the framework of the center’s endeavor to raise the commitment to the standards of the environment system and its executive regulations and its keenness according to its competence to provide the best services through the continuous monitoring of the quality of the environment (air. Water. Soil) and raise the efficiency of environmental control over all facilities.
The tours of the establishments with an environmental impact are complementary to all the efforts made by government agencies to improve the visitor’s experience of the holy cities during his movements and travel.

Rehabilitation of 280 environmental sites

The National Center for Environmental Control revealed the start of the rehabilitation plans of 280 environmental deteriorating sites in various regions of the Kingdom.
He pointed out that it was confined to a national project, which means the rehabilitation of the environmentally deteriorating lands, while the director of the Water Quality and Soil Department at the center M. Muhammad Al -Amashani, that the center identified the authorities responsible for pollution in 280 sites.
And that it is the result of a waste of waste, and they were reached through a national initiative that was launched 15 months ago to environmentally deteriorating sites.
And that the project was submitted by recommendations in the best ways and technologies to stop the sources of pollution, and to ensure rehabilitation based on the type, quantity and spread of pollution in the surrounding environment.
