Announcing the names of the winners of the competition "Palm in the tongues of poets"

Abu Dhabi, March 18/ WAM/ The General Secretariat of the Khalifa International Prize for Palm of Dates and Agricultural Innovation announced the names of the winners of the “Palm in the tongues of poets” in its ninth session 2025, which is organized by his generous sponsorship from His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Prize.
The results came as follows .. The first category “eloquent poetry” won the first place, the poet Muhammad Khairi Imam Jabr, for his poem “Al -Bashaqi”, while the second place came to the poet Muhammad Al -Amin Ahmed about his poem “Ya Maryam’s sister”, while the third place was the share of the poet Alaa Naim Ali Al -Qattrawi about her poem “The Evidence of Palm”.
The second category of Nabati poetry came in the first place, the poet Muhammad Abdullah Al -Zoubi, for his poem “The Story of Kifah”, while the poet Ali Muhammad Saif Saleh Al Mazrouei came second for his poem “Palm Al -Khair”, and she won the third place, the poet Donia Ziyad Khalil Al -Qaisi, for her poem “Bint Al -Sahari”.
The number of participants in the competition in its ninth session reached 698 poets and poets from 23 countries, where they organized their poems in two categories, the first for eloquent poetry and the second for Nabati poetry in the love of the palm tree, its virtue and its effect.
Dr. Abdel -Wahab Zayed, Secretary -General of the award, said that the results of the evaluation of poetic works were carried out by a specialized jury that included the poet and journalist Aida bin Masoud, the poet and the media Hamdan bin Sarkoukh Al -Daraa, and the poet and critic Sameh Ahmed Kaoush.
He explained that the arbitration methodology depends on the evaluation of the level of poets based on the aesthetic and rhetorical standards, such as innovation and grandmother in the description, idea, enrichment of the subject and graphic images, in addition to linguistic, grammatical and musical standards such as weight and rhyme.
The “Palm in the tongues of poets” aims to enhance awareness of the importance of the date palm tree in terms of heritage, agricultural, food and economic, as it seeks to revive the role of poetry in describing the palm tree, monitoring the creations of poets in this field, and providing transparent competitive opportunities for the participants, while highlighting the experiences of poets who won the competition.
