90.5 billion dirhams, 117 countries benefited during the Zayed rule period

The Union for Human Rights Association emphasized that the humanitarian action in the UAE is an inclusive and rapid assistance and relief from the official and private authorities, which numbered today 43 humanitarian bodies and institutions in the country.

The association recalled, in the context of celebrating the day of Zayed for humanitarian work, which falls on the 19th of the month of Ramadan of each Hijri year, the value of development and humanitarian aid provided by the UAE during the period of the reign of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God bless him, the first president of the UAE in the period from “December 2, 1971 – November 2, 2004”, amounting to 90.5 billion dirhams, benefiting more than 117 countries.

She said, that the human vision of Zaid founder has made the UAE a leading country in charitable work and international peace endeavors, and its approach is still present in various parts of the earth with hundreds of humanitarian initiatives, including building development cities and infrastructure, international airports, civilizational institutes, educational institutions, and medical centers, not to mention the Emirati investments supporting the countries that suffer economically as a result of conflicts, which were estimated by the International Monetary Fund Global governments 2025 at about 50 billion dollars.

Humanitarian initiatives

She added, that the year 2024 came full of humanitarian initiatives, including the launch of the Zayed Humanitarian Heritage Initiative of 20 billion dirhams for humanitarian actions in the most needy societies around the world, and to activate this initiative, the Zayed Humanitarian Heritage Foundation, which includes 14 entities, was established, in commemoration of the founders of the founder “may God rest his soul”, and the continuous efforts of the state in humanitarian and charitable work, in a way that is consistent with the ninth principle of principles Fifty state.

The association talked about the achievements of “Zayed Al -Khair”, including contributing to the idea of ​​establishing the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, establishing the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, and opening the marriage fund to help young people in the costs of marriage, and the possibility of the married woman to apply for a land or housing house, education and free treatment, providing popular housing, converting the desert into a green paradise, establishing charitable institutions, helping poor countries in need, and people They were cut off during crises.
