Al Ain Chess Club concludes its 3rd festival and crowns the winners
Abu Dhabi, 13 March / WAM / The confrontations of the third edition of the Al Ain Club Chess and Mind Games Festival, which concluded yesterday, resulted in the international grandmaster Asghar Jolly winning first place, while international master Bashir Al Qadimi came in second place, and international master Anas Khuwaira came in third place.
The club organized the festival at Kind Hospital in Al Ain, for the third time, as a continuation of the joint cooperation between the two sides in order to enhance community initiatives and spread the game in various community institutions.
The UAE Women’s Champion, Al Ain Chess and Mental Games Club player, Wafia Al Mamari, won the Best Emirati Player Award, while the UAE Champion, Ammar Al Sidrani, won the Best Emirati Player Award.
The festival’s competitions were held in 9 rounds according to the Swiss system.
