Another tragedy

He added in a statement issued today, Tuesday, that the past eighteen months of violence clearly made it clear that there is no military path to get out of this crisis. He said that the only way to move forward is a political settlement, in line with international law.
He pointed out that Israel’s resort to more military power will only increase the suffering of the Palestinian people, who are already suffering from catastrophic circumstances.
Turk said that this nightmare must end immediately, and that the hostages must be released immediately and without registration or condition, and that all detainees should be released immediately and without restriction or condition.
He added that the war must end permanently, calling on all parties to do everything in its power to achieve peace and avoid more suffering of civilians.
