The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces the opening of registration for the study missions program, starting next May
The program provides more than 5 leading diplomatic majors provided by about 60 prestigious international universities.
Abu Dhabi, March 18 / WAM / The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the opening of registration in the new version of the scholarship program, starting from May 1 to June 2025; Where the program aims to send out excelling Emirati students to complete their studies in 60 prominent international universities, providing more than five leading diplomatic majors, which contributes to consolidating the culture of innovation and excellence in the field of diplomacy, and enabling students scholars to achieve achievements – unprecedented – in the diplomatic corps, as well Positive in the international arena.
The Ministry stressed that its program for school missions reflects a strategic vision aimed at developing diplomatic experiences capable of keeping pace with global variables, and enhancing the presence of the state in global forums, as it represents part of its continuous efforts to prepare a promising generation of qualified diplomats in accordance with the highest academic and professional standards, by enabling Emirati youth to acquire the necessary skills and tools to become future leaders in the field of international relations, based on Diplomacy based on efficiency and excellence.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that the conditions for admission requires that the applicant be one of the citizens of the United Arab Emirates, and that it holds an Emirati passport and a summary of registration, while enjoying good conduct and behavior according to an approved certificate from the competent authorities, as the program requires that the applicant’s age ranges between 17 and 22 years, and that he holds a high school in the advanced path and elite at 80% and above and in the public and technical path and other curricula 90% and more, in addition to the student obtaining a certificate of efficiency in the English language (6.5 Academic IELTS) or TOEFL, and providing academic admission from one of the universities approved by the ministry, as well as approval to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the diplomatic corps for a period equivalent to years of study.
In the same context, the ministry clarified that those wishing to join the program can visit the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to review the required documents and conditions for submission and acceptance, noting that the scholarship is going through three basic stages, starting with scholarships for university study abroad to obtain a bachelor’s degree, then joining the Anwar Gargash Diplomacy Academy to obtain a majestic studies diploma in diplomacy International relations, and finally appointment to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and join the diplomatic corps after the graduation requirements are met.
