Dubai, March 20 / WAM / The Dubai Ports Group “DPDDRDD”, Motta -Engy, chose to lead the development of the deep water port project “Bennana Port” in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
According to a press release issued today, the port of Bennana will be developed in stages, where the first stage was designed to accommodate the largest ships in the world, and it is characterized by a 600 -meter sidewalk, a handling capacity of 450,000 stereotypes measuring 20 feet annually, and a storage area of 30 hectares.
The second stage of the port berth extends over a distance of more than two kilometers.
Many companies will participate in the construction of the port, including local companies, and will provide thousands of jobs directly and indirectly, which provides new opportunities for Congolese workers and companies.
As the first fully equipped naval gate in the country, the port will reduce transportation costs, improve trade efficiency, and support local industries, from agriculture to manufacturing.
