Archive and the National Library start the information awareness program with readings in the values ​​of tolerance

Abu Dhabi, March 20 / WAM / The archive and the national library opened the library awareness program with a symposium titled “Readings in the Values ​​of Tolerance”, in conjunction with the national reading month and the blessed month of Ramadan, where the symposium confirmed that the Emirati society continues with confidence and responsibility to establish the values ​​of tolerance, cultural pluralism and acceptance of the other.

His Excellency Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director General of the Archives and the National Library, started the symposium’s activities with a word in which he affirmed the importance of tolerance and dialogue that all religions urge in achieving peace, pointing to the keenness of the rational leadership to enhance these values ​​in Emirati society, as it touched on the concept of functional tolerance, and its importance in creating a positive and stimulating work environment for creativity and innovation.

Dr. Aisha Al -Khair, a research advisor at the Archive and the National Library, presented readings in the values ​​of tolerance in Emirati society, reviewing examples of cooperation and social solidarity that reflect these values; She referred to tolerance of judicial rulings as evidence of the sustainability of these values ​​in society.

The researcher Abdul Rahman Al -Zureiki presented a summary of the book (How to affect others and gain friends) by Del Carrenji, highlighting the basic principles included in the book in the field of human relations.

At the end of the symposium, Walid Ghaylan, the librarian, stressed during the symposium that tolerance is not just an ethical virtue, but rather a civilized necessity that contributes to the stability of societies, promoting dialogue, and consolidating mutual respect between individuals and cultures.
