The retired American actress Nadia Cassini, who is famous for her comic roles in Italian cinema during the 1970s and 1980s, died at the age of 76 years after a long struggle with illness. Her only daughter, Cassandra Voyageis, announced the news of her death, noting that she left on Tuesday at her home in the city of Rigio Calabria, south of Italy. Her body is scheduled to be common on Friday, March 21, in Melto Porto Salvo, the birthplace of her husband’s family.
Cassini, her real name, Gianna Le Muller, was born on January 2, 1949 in New York, to American parents of German and Italian descent who were working in the field of art. She moved to Italy after her marriage to journalist Igor Cassini, but she later separated from him. Then she was associated with Greek actor Juergo Voigis, her daughter’s father, Cassandra.
Cassini started her artistic career with small roles in films such as divorce and the god of the snake, then she returned to the United States for a short time, where she participated in a core movie with Michael Caen. Later, it became one of the most prominent Italian movie stars in films that combined comedy and excitement. In the mid -1980s, she went to fashion shows via television programs before she retired from the entertainment world permanently in the late decade.
