المملكة: On its international day .. What is happiness from the point of view of university students?

The world celebrates the International Day of Happiness, which falls on March 20 of each year, the day that the United Nations General Assembly adopted in 2012, believing in the importance of happiness and well -being as global goals and aspirations in human life.
In this context, the opinions of Jeddah University students on their personal concept of happiness, reflecting the diversity of their academic experiences and backgrounds.
Turki Al -Ghamdi
Turki Al -Ghamdi, a student at the Faculty of Finance and Economics, pointed out that happiness swings between the conviction of what is available and the ambition for the better, stressing that finding a balance point between these two aspects is the basis for achieving true happiness.
Al -Ghamdi explained that the essence of happiness lies in “to be satisfied with what you have, and aspiring to your future.”

Personal achievements
Fahd Al -Jaafari, a student of artificial intelligence, believes that happiness is a state of comprehensive satisfaction that is achieved by achieving personal achievements, as well as by contributing to the happiness of others, which highlights the deep social and human dimension of this concept.

Fahd Al -Shammari
Fahd Saud Al -Sattami Al -Shammari, a student in the specialty of finance and economy, stressed that the continuous endeavor to achieve personal goals and aspirations is one of the main sources of happiness, noting that the progress towards achieving dreams in itself represents a strong motivation for a feeling of happiness.

As for Raghad Al -Sheikh, a student in the Department of Biological Sciences, she linked happiness to satisfaction and submission to predestination, considering that the sensation of the divine blessings surrounding us is the essence of happiness.

Ilan Saud, a cybersecurity student, agrees with this opinion, adding that happiness lies in looking at life as a continuous journey, not just a final destination, and coexistence with the fluctuations of this journey with a spirit of certainty and contentment, which gives it a deeper beauty and meaning.

Abrar Bakhsh
In conclusion, Abrar Bakhsh, a radiology student, expressed a different concept of happiness, as you find it in leaving a positive impact that inspires others, and in achieving achievements that contribute to changing the life of those around it for the better, saying: “To see a vast fruit that is vibrant in the eyes of others is the height of happiness for me.”
