The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center opens the door for registration with future space simulation studies

The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center announced the opening of registration for Emirati citizens, to participate in future space simulation studies, within the Emirates Space Simulation Program.

These studies aim to simulate space environments on Earth, and to study the effect of isolation on the health of astronauts, in addition to the dynamics of teamwork, within the framework of the state’s preparations for long -term space missions, and is an essential component of manufactured space missions research as it helps in developing space exploring strategies, such as future trips to the moon and Mars.

By simulating the space environment in specialized facilities, researchers can assess the ability of people to adapt, develop preventive measures against potential risks, and improve space operations strategies.

In this context, Salem Hamid Al -Marri, Director General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center, said that the UAE investment in space is not limited to tasks, but also includes building knowledge and human cadres, and simulation studies are an essential step to understand adaptation to harsh environments, and to ensure the sustainability of space missions, while providing the opportunity for citizens to participate in research that strengthens the role of the state in global space society.

Adnan Al -Rayes, Assistant Director General of Space Operations and Exploration, described these studies as an effective way to test vital elements for long -term tasks, including physiological and psychological changes of the crew, developing biological support systems, and improving operating strategies in lunar and Mars.

The center is looking for Emirati volunteers between the ages of 30 and 55, who are healthy, and hold certificates in areas such as engineering, technology, or health care, with the English language proficiency.

It is noteworthy that the Emirates Space Simulation Program is funded by the Information and Communications Technology Fund, affiliated with the Communications Regulatory Authority and the digital government.
