The resignation of the chair of the 2030 World Cup Organizing Committee for a dangerous reason!

The chair of the organizing committee in Spain to host the 2030 Football World Cup resigned on Wednesday after accusing her of manipulating the criteria for selecting host cities in favor of the city of San Sebastian, according to Spanish media.

Maria Tatto submitted her resignation to the Spanish Federation to the game after a report published by the newspaper “Al Mondo”, which revealed that the classification required to choose the hosts for the 2030 World Cup to be held in Spain, Portugal and Morocco, was changed in favor of the Anueta Stadium in Saint Sebastian at the expense of Palados in Vigo.
Mayor Vigo, Abel Capayero, criticized the “X” platform this week, saying, “On June 25, 2024, the city of Palados was among 11 sites (in Spain), but on June 27 the list was modified.”
“This is very dangerous, we ask them to explain to us who changed it, and why, according to any criteria,” he said.
For his part, the Spanish Federation did not answer the request of Agence France -Presse to express its opinion on the matter.
The Spanish Federation announced last year that Spain will allocate 11 stadiums for the championship, including the Camp Nou stadium, which is subject to renewal and Santiago Bernabeu, while Portugal will rely on three stadiums and Morocco on six.
