Gold climbs to $ 3033.20 an ounce

Gold prices rose today, Thursday, amid fears of American counter -tariffs.

The price of gold in instant transactions rose 0.5 percent to $ 3033.20 an ounce.

US gold futures increased 0.6 percent to $ 3039.

For other precious metals, silver fell in instant transactions 0.1 percent to $ 33.68 an ounce, platinum fell 0.3 percent to reach $ 971.6, and palladium lost 0.4 percent to 964.01 dollars.

Dealers fear that the counter -tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump, which is expected to enter into force on the second of next April, may lead to high inflation and slow economic growth.
