Al -Sisi and Trump are looking to calm the regional escalation and the security of the Red Sea

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi and his American counterpart, Donald Trump, discussed, during a phone call, the latest developments in the Middle East, and the efforts to calm escalation and restore stability in the region.
Ambassador Mohamed El -Shennawi, the official spokesman for the Egyptian presidency, stated that the communication that the Egyptian president received from his American counterpart touched on the importance of coordination to contain regional tensions, and the need to support efforts to stop the escalation in a way that preserves navigation security in the Red Sea and prevents more economic losses to all parties.
According to the presidential spokesperson, the two sides stressed the strength of the partnership between Cairo and Washington, and their interest in pushing the prospects for bilateral cooperation in various fields during the next stage, where the American President stressed the depth of strategic relations between the two countries, and his keenness to continue joint cooperation in a way that serves the interests of the Egyptian and American peoples.
