In preparation for final exams, Monday and Tuesday for self-learning and home reviews for students

Public and private school administrations that implement the Ministry of Education’s curriculum have informed parents and students of not requiring students to attend school on Monday and Tuesday, corresponding to June 22 and 23, stressing that this period has been allocated to support students’ readiness for the tests at the end of the third semester, and to enable them to invest time in organized review, self-learning, and completing educational activities from home.
In circulars addressed to parents seen by Emirates Today, the schools stressed that not requiring attendance does not mean disrupting academic preparations, but rather aims to give students a focused time space to rearrange their academic priorities, review lessons, organize time, and prepare for the final exams that begin on June 24 and continue until next July 3 for students in grades five through six and twelfth, in a more effective and calm manner.
The school administrations confirmed that they will continue to receive students who wish to attend during these two days, to benefit from academic support programs, educational reviews, and appropriate educational activities, within a safe educational environment and under the supervision of school staff, and according to the capabilities available in each school.
Schools called on parents to follow up on their children during the stay-at-home period, help them prepare a clear daily schedule for review, limit distractions, and encourage them to commit to self-learning, in a way that enhances their academic and psychological readiness before the start of the end-of-school year exams.
School administrations explained that this step comes within the framework of supporting students during the final stage of the academic year, and providing flexible alternatives that take into account their different needs, whether through organized home study or optional attendance to benefit from direct support within the school.
