Negotiations between Iran and the United States are expected to continue overnight

A senior American diplomat reported early Monday that the Iranian delegation is still present in Switzerland and the talks are still continuing with the American delegation, indicating that they are expected to continue throughout the night of Sunday and Monday.

The diplomat said that the discussions focused in particular on “clarifying some of the confusing messages from Iran regarding the Strait and building mechanisms to avoid conflicts to ensure that the Strait (Hormuz) remains completely open,” in addition to respecting the ceasefire in Lebanon.
