"Dubai Electricity" 1530 voltage stations are inaugurated by 11 kg in 2024
Dubai, April 6 / WAM / Dubai Electricity and Water Authority inaugurated during the year 2024, 1530 new 11 kilometers distribution stations throughout the emirate, an increase of 8.2% compared to 2023, while work in these stations and tasks associated with a total of one million and 70 thousand and 670 working hours took place.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, Managing Director, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, said in a press statement today, that the total number of medium -voltage distribution stations is “11 km and 6.6 km.
Alpha and 317 stations by the end of 2024, noting that the high number of distribution stations is a new indication of expanding the authority’s infrastructure to keep pace with the prosperity of Dubai and its economic and urban growth, high energy production and meeting the growing demand for electricity.
He said that the percentage of losses in the electricity transmission and distribution networks in Dubai was 2.0% compared to 6-7% in Europe and the United States.
For his part, Eng. Rashid bin Humaidan, Executive Vice President for the Energy Distribution Sector in the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, explained that the authority employs the latest programs and digital technologies and cooperates with the major advanced international companies to provide energy supplies according to the highest standards of availability, reliability and sustainability, automation of the distribution network and implement the best maintenance plans and reduce the average electricity interruption.
