Local media have reported the death toll due to severe storms in the Middle West and South Western region to at least 20 people.

Warning from massive floods

The Meteorological Authority warned of life -threatening floods. During the beginning of the week, the situation deteriorated in particular in Kentucky.
The state governor, Andy Bashir, announced the state of emergency. In Kovington, where the Ohio and Legeng river meets, the streets were already overwhelmed, and pictures published by local media showed.

In Frankfurt, the capital of Kentucky, the Kentucky River has reached a level close to the record, reaching about 15 meters, according to the city administration. Storms also caused power outages.
