Riyadh achieves 65% growth in the “richest cities of the world” in 2025

The city of Riyadh recorded a growth of 65% in the number of wealthy people, according to the fourth edition of the “Richest Cities of the World” report for 2025.
The United States of America continued its lead in the list of the first fifty cities in terms of the number of wealth, as the United States includes 11 cities in the classification, topped by New York, which came in the first place in the world with more than 384 thousand millionaires, including 818 people who have wealth of more than 100 million dollars, along with 66 billionaires.
The report revealed that the San Francisco Bay area, which includes the Silicon Valley, came second with 342.4 thousand millionaires, and 82 billionaires, to excel in the number of billionaires on New York, and its position established a global position for technological wealth, especially with the growth of the number of wealthy there by 98% during the past decade.

Dubai .. exceptional rise

Dubai witnessed an exceptional rise after it jumped from 21 to 18th place in just one year, to become home to 81.2 thousand millionaires, 237 people owned more than 100 million dollars, and 20 billionaires, making it the fastest upward in the annual ranking.

Dubai has registered 102% growth in the number of wealthy people in the past ten years, outperforming most of the world’s cities.

Wealth in Asia and the Middle East

The report showed the continued expansion of wealth inside Asia and the Middle East, as cities such as Riyadh recorded a growth of 65% in the number of wealthy people, and Abu Dhabi by 80%, which confirms the transformation of the region into a global attraction of capital.
The report noted the rise of Chinese cities such as Chenezen, which came in 28th, after it recorded the highest global growth rate in the number of wealthy people by 142%, as well as Hangzhou, which came in 35th place with a growth rate of 108%.

London retreated

On the other hand, the British capital, London, witnessed a remarkable decline to the sixth place after it was in fifth place, as the number of wealth has decreased to 215.7 thousand millionaires, a decrease of 12% during the last decade.
While Moscow maintained its presence in the list, despite its great decline to the fortieth position, with a decline of 25% in the number of wealthy people.

New York leads the richest cities in the world - agencies

In a future outlook, the report expected cities such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Delhi a growth exceeding 100% in the number of huge wealth people “who own $ 100 million or more” during the next ten years, with the support of investment residence programs, lack of income and capital taxes in some countries.

The absence of African cities

Despite the absence of any African or Central American city from the list of the 50 richest cities in the world, the report referred to a number of emerging cities on the African continent, which is expected to double the number of people who are rich in “those who own 100 million dollars or more” during the next ten years.
These cities include Cape Town in South Africa (34 people), Moroccan Marrakech (14 people), and Kenyan Nairobi (10 people).
