Tomorrow the activities of the first Qassim Family Medicine Conference, organized by the Saudi Family Medicine Association in the Qassim Region, will be launched tomorrow, and continues over the 11th and 12th of April 2025, amid a wide participation of specialists and interested in the field of family medicine from various regions of the Kingdom. The conference aims to enhance the status of family medicine, one of the most important pillars of primary health care, and highlights the role of the family doctor in improving the quality of health services, and raising the efficiency of the health system, in line with The target of the national transformation in the health sector.

The conference includes a diversified scientific program that includes more than 60 research posters with the participation of a group of speakers in many specialties, in addition to more than 20 participating entities from health and educational institutions, and also includes 6 specialized workshops covering important fields that include the Department of Population Health, the basics of sports medicine, medical procedures for women’s health, mastery of prescribing antibiotics, along with micro -surgical skills in care centers Primary and leadership concepts in the health sector.

The Consultant of Family Medicine and Mental Health, Vice President of the Association of Family Medicine and Community in Al -Qassim, the general supervisor of the conference, Dr. Tamim Al -Hamid, said that the conference is an opportunity to exchange experiences between health practitioners, researchers and those interested in the field of family medicine, and review the latest scientific developments in the areas of prevention, treatment and diagnosis of organic and psychological diseases, pointing out that the conference has the approval of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties by 15 hours for continuous medical education, It refers to the strength of its scientific content, its expected impact on supporting health practitioners, and enhancing the quality of care provided.
