Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities participates in an international conference in Italy

Rome, April 13 / WAM / Mohammed bin Zayed University of Humanities participates in the conference “Women, Religion and Discrimination: Public Policies and Rights – A Comparative Perspective” organized by the University of Bimoni Orientaly in Italy, as part of the university’s efforts to enhance its international presence, and the contribution of its balanced intellectual visions to support human values and cognitive justice.
The conference is part of a multilateral European research project with the participation of researchers from European and Arab universities.
And during the conference, Mohammed bin Zayed University of Humanities presented a scientific paper entitled “Religious Discrimination in Education” by Dr. Karima Al Mazrouei, Advisor to the Director of the University, which dealt with a number of axes that included the impact of some religious interpretations on the opportunities for girls’ education, especially in crisis areas, and reviewing the UAE experience in empowering women through education, and Emirati educational policies as a model that combines equality and knowledge development.
Al Mazrouei confirmed that the conference axes came in line with the strategic goals of the Mohammed bin Zayed University of Humanities, and their vision and initiatives in the field of equality and empowerment of women through education.
She said that the university’s participation in the Italy conference embodied its authentic approach in promoting its international presence, weaving scientific partnerships with higher education institutions and strategic studies centers regionally and internationally, supporting common denominators with them, discussing vital issues through dialogues and holding conferences.
She added that Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities is working in this regard in accordance with the national policy to empower Emirati women 2023-2031, to enhance women’s participation in all fields and enhance the quality of their life.
She affirmed the state’s keenness to establish interconnected, coherent and supportive families to enhance the role of women in society, and to integrate women into the labor market and future sectors, as well as developing capabilities and enhancing future skills for women.
